MSPI

Yes, It has an acronym and everything!

MSPI stands for Milk Soy Protein Intolerance

After seeing a nutritionist last week we started all over again with our diet. She recommended me eliminate all animal milks. So, goat cheese and milk were outa there! That was the only cheese I had been able to eat. She also helped me understand some of the many soy ingredients out there. The only one that she is allowing me to eat is soy lecithin, which is an emulsifier and does not have the protein.

Things we can do for Ryder to help with the uncomfortableness of passing gas:
Chamomile Tea - brewed strong so that you can drop some in his mouth
Cocyntal - homeopathic colic relief
Massage
Probiotics
Tummy time
Bath time
Gas drops (Mylicon and/or GasX Baby) - must be burped up
Gripe water - goes through their system

What I am doing for Ryder:
Probiotics
Calcium
Fiber
Fish oil
Prenatals

No animal milks (cow, sheep, goat)
No soy - only soy lecithin is ok because it has no protein in it

Great websites:
MSPImama.com
intolerantoffspring.com
kellymom.com (http://kellymom.com/momblog/professional-handouts-set-2/)

I had to search for:
-soy/dairy free mayo since i love sandwiches
-soy/dairy free bread
-soy/dairy free crackers - trader joes pita crackers are my fave!
-soy/dairy free coffee creamer - there is a great coconut milk creamer
-soy/milk free butter - earth balance red
